Another shot with the rented Canon 500mm. I was trying to capture the immature eagle when all of a sudden, the mature (probably just barely 4 years old, as the head is not completely white) flew in as if to show the young eagle who was boss. I had to shoot quickly and I was at f4. In hindsight, I wish I would have had time to stop down to increase the depth of field so that the immature eagle would be in better focus. Regardless, I liked the shot as it shows both eagles fairly well. Again, the branches are not ideal, but it reflects the local habitat. Critiques and comments welcome.

Jerry,
This is your best Eagle post yet and to get a juvenile and a young adult together like this is outstanding. If this ain't ideal then there is no such thing. You can nit pick all you want about things you cannot control, but the fact is this is a sweet capture.
Well Done.

Great pose in the mature eagle - - the braches obscuring the juvie are distracting, but the image is still a "keeper".

Nice work getting 2 eagles in the frame. I agree that the branches are distracting but I wouldn't get rid of the image.
