Common Redpoll

Common Redpoll (Carduelis flammea) from early 2012, reprocessed in Viveza 2. I'm using the trial and am at the begin of the learning curve. Slightly increased structure in head and chest; reduced brightness in upper chest. Does this work?

7D, Sigma 150-500 at 403 mm, f/11.0, ISO 500, 1/500 sec, HH, natural light, PP in LR4 and Viveza 2 (I'm exploring the trial). Slight crop for composition.

All your comments are much appreciated. Thanks for your comments on my other photos. Roger.

Very good details and framing, nice head-turn & view of that red patch Roger.
A little bit of detail lost at the chest, bit very minor.
I use the Viveza as well, it's a very useful PP tool.. Once you master it you'll find ya can't live without it

These are a winter visitor to us in the UK but haven't seen one this year yet. The processing looks fine to me - I expect all the detail is there in the original rather than this low resolution image. Graham

Hard to tell what you did without seeing a former version, but I like the results, Roger. Nice exposure control.

Everything looks good to me, nice pose, feather detail and perch. I am assuming the different colors on the bill are due to reflection, well done.
