Here's the same tree from a different angle.

Love this! Perfect comp, perspective, and detail. The red leaves anchor the image, and the tracks are an added benefit.
Well done!

nice, Cristina, I like the color in the leaves against the white snow. There is a good sense of depth. The tracks going up the trunk are an unusual find, and you did a good job photographing the scene.

I'm glad you posted the second photo to show the angle of the tree. . .I was wondering how the tracks were made so neatly on a straight-up vertical tree. Nice comp in this simple shot. I like the placement of the main tree in the middle of the image, the placement of the horizon, the placement of the trunk along the bottom of the frame, and the inclusion of the brown leaves which help define the tree and add a splash of color. All helps to showcase the squirrel tracks. Nice find and well photographed.

Cristina,

Nice Comp and Depth. Very well done. A great find. The color of the leaves adds greatly to the image.

A really nice artsy rendition. The tracks are not that important to me. It's the graphic design present that sets off this fine image. Nice crafting.

Both colorful and subtle. A winner on so many levels. What you did with the paw marks is fiendish. At first glance, my response was "now, is that really possible?"

When I was going back through my images and settled on this one, I was taxing my brain trying to figure out how the squirrel did it without leaving drag marks, then I scrolled down to the next images and remembered this crazy tree is not as vertical as my original composition looked. So it even trips me up too.

Great and very unusual capture. Looks like two squirrels climbed that tree (or the same one twice). Squirrels usually carry their tails high behind them, so I wouldn't expect to see drag marks even on a vertical tree...but never having seen tracks on a snow covered tree, I could be wrong and would love to find out. Nice job with your placement of the tree and including the leaves at the top.

What a cool shot of the tracks! Love the composition, the snow, the leaves, everything. I'm glad you posted the other shot just to get perspective on how the squirrel moved around. Congrats!

Cool shot, especially with the tracks and remaining leaves, and congrats on the WP! The snow blown on just the front side of the trees sets the trunks off well
