Here is one I never shared in this forum from last summer. It was one of my favorites from last year. I took this at my favorite field of wild sunflowers which is just 5 miles from my house every year. I love to visit it to see what new views it will offer me.

C&C welcome, and thanks for looking,

These sure do look nice in B & W! I like the added touch of the flies:)

You never know, Morris; next year it may be ten miles! Just joking! I quite like this in black and white. It has a good balanced range of tones and a strong sense of depth that might not show as well in color. :toast:

I love this photo Morris for the great depth and the mysterious mood. I think that the B&W has enhanced both.
Cheers.

I love the glow of the backlit sunflowers and the great sense of a field that goes on and on. Looks great in b&w. I do think you could crop the left nearly half and retain that same feeling.

I like the lighting in this and the way it nicely backlights the flowers. Looks like you even caught some insects in mid-flight. The B&W treatment works well to highlight the lighting and all the interesting texture in this image. I do wish the larger flowers on the left were more in focus or somehow less prominent. In light of that, I agree with Mark that the left could be cropped and still be a great image.

Hi Morris :wavey: The only problem here, is that it's not mine  i love it as it is, especially the B&W effect..... the lighting and composition have a certain abstract mood to it.. very artistically done :toast: :toast:

love the DOF here and the comp as is, although an alternate comp with less on the left would be interesting to see.
The B&W works well, and tonal range is excellent.
Not sure about the flies - can't tell what they are at this size.

Morris: Marvelous conversion but for me this is a lot stronger with almost the entire left half cropped away making it a 4;5 portrait crop. I also like the light and subject and can see why it is a favorite haunt. >=))>

Love the mood and the depth in this image. Good tonal range. The large blurry flower on the left is a little distracting so another vote for cropping the left.

Wonderfully creative, Morris ! The fg flowers are pristine sharp and give way to a soft bg that seems almost to be glimpsed through glass - an effect that really holds the eye. Beautifully composed and executed.

Nice! Good choice for B&W. The selective focus gives this a pleasing pictorial look.
