I shot this dew covered rose in early morning light late this summer at the local public garden. The bg (an evergreen hedge) was still in deep shadows. I then darkened the shadows to black during processing. D700, 180 macro, CPL, f16, iso 400, 1/20 sec. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome. :wavey:

Nice balance and lovely color! The dew certainly adds to this. Pink and black combo takes me all the way back to high school in the 50's!

Wow, Scott, this is a stunning image! What a beautiful rose specimen. . . and you have captured it in all its beauty so well. Beautiful colors, nice lighting, great details, fine comp and the black background works so well for this. And, of course, the drops are wonderful. Very nice!
