Great low angle, wonderful light and an excellent moment to freeze. The colors pop out very well against the dark background. I particularly like the great look at the eye and the water droplets all around. The frame looks a little tight behind the heron. :toast:

Wonderful capture Verdon. The blue reflection and water droplets match very well with the plumage of the bird against the dark background. Well done ! :toast:

The bird is great and the pose and action as well. Like the colors. Only the BG looks a little distracting, especially with the green square on the left. That said, it's a wonderful image ! Hans

Nicely caught action pose on this heron. I like the splash. Maybe just a little more on the bottom if you have it for the virtual leg. Sharon

Nice action; nice exposure. The BG is fine for my tastes but I'd prefer more room on the bottom if possible.

Really nice shot Verdon and congrats on getting this! You must be in Florida or something right now? I see a few people asked for more room on the bottom. I don't think that would accomplish anything...because of the low angle, I think any more water below would just be FG blur. You can see even with the amount of water you included, that was already happening. Nice work! :toast:
