This has such a nice spring feel to it! I like the pastel colors. Your bird looks sharp, but it's tough to tell without the larger version. You also did a great job getting a clear shot through all those branches, and they help frame the bird nicely. My advice for improvement would be to move the bird out of the center of the frame. A very nice first post and a warm welcome to you! Sharon

Welcome Bill :wavey:
Nice job on the open beak and dappled branches. I too would love to see a bigger version

Welcome Bill. Oh, how I love those Waxwings! I like the overall idea of setting the bird in a wide environment, but agree that it's a little central in the frame. Should it be a crop, you could try some other crops. But, a lovely image as posted ! Cheers, Hans

Nice capture, I love the colours of the background. Good pose of the waxwing, but sharpness is difficult to judge in this format. It would have been better as well if the bird had been positioned more to the left of the frame (about 1/3).

Welcome, Bill. I'll echo the other comments about composition. When the subject is this small in the frame, a larger version is certainly helpful to evaluate focus, etc.
