Sayonara!
Hey all...this is my first post in years as "just" an NPN member. Meaning - I have resigned as one of the moderators in the NPN Wildlife Gallery (and Forum).
While it's always more sensational and (for some) fun to come up with a drama-filled story about what's behind any departure from a position, the truth is far more bland and positive. After putting food on the table, my primary motivation as a full-time professional photographer has always been conservation. Like everyone, I only have so much time for pro bono work (it may come as news to many of you that being moderator on NPN does NOT command a 6-figure salary - it's a voluntary position). And, because I have more and more commitments to conservation causes every day, something had to give. Which means I'm officially gone and at the same time burdening Lon and Vincent with more of the share of the work in this gallery! Sorry guys!
I've really enjoyed my time moderating in this gallery - it was a very good use of my time. And I learned a lot. I hope others did too.
Oh, and BTW, I not about to quit posting images or commenting on those of others here in this gallery. And, odds are, those posts and comments will be as long-winded as usual!

So, from most folks' perspective very little will change...
Anyway...cheers all and I wish everyone a great 2013 - both behind your camera (and computer) and in life!
Brad

13 commentsAs for the image... it's a little lacking in sharpness!
Thanks for the time you've spent making this forum a better place. Secondly, I hope you continue your comentary on future photos posted. I've enjoyed them and they've helped me lots in my photography.
Cheers,
Vincent
I always enjoyed your in depth comments n critique. They have always been very helpful, informative and friendly. You did a great job as a moderator and will surely be missed. It's a big consolation that we will get to see your images n comments.

Super image Brad !!
Thanks so much for all your positive comments. Heck, if I knew that y'all would say such nice things when I left, I would have done so YEARS AGO!
A recurring theme seems to be the hope that I continue to hang out and say a few things. Yep, that's not going to change...you'll continue to see images, commentaries, and critiques from me in the future.
Thanks again - and see you around!
