Interesting take on a familiar location. I like the fact that you tried something different here. Your title is appropriate as I definitely feel as if I am standing perilously close to the edge of this cliff. The foreground vegetation is interesting and there are nice details to enjoy throughout. I certainly applaud your willingness to think outside of the box with this one. :toast:

Very nice. I like the layers of rocks and I think the vegetation adds a lot as it provides nice perspective. I also like the colors in the water.

I like the foreground very much Chet and feel it could stand on its own due to the interesting textures and contrast. Just a thought.

Always good to see a different take on a popular location. Love the composition but you might want to ease off on the magenta just a touch - especially in the top half of the frame.

I really like the view here, it creates an interesting sense of vertigo and a nice focus on the reflections. The colors in the reflections, especially the blue/magentas seem over saturated.

Chet,

I'm with Brian here in that this does most definitely give the sense of being on the edge. And from someone who's not keen on heights, this gives me the willies a little bit. ;-)

Also agree it's a nice take away from here. My only nit/suggestion is the saturation in and around the water seems a little too much, at least for my taste. And maybe a little magenta in the sandstone. I think with a few color/sat tweaks, this will look real good.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I will go with the fixes you suggested as I wasn't quite happy either with the colors.

Being from the flat lands, I'm sure glad that bush is there to grab on to! The comp is well balanced and gives a nice sense of place.

I like the originality of the composition. Nice job.

BTW, I have stood on the upper left hand cliff over there on the other side!

Great perspective with your composition, definitely a vertigo-inducer . The touch of light and reflection on the water adds a wonderful element. Nicely done.
