The detail and tones in the larger version makes the scene come to life. At first glance I thought maybe the balance was a bit weighted here, but the tree does work just fine with the waterfall on the left quadrant. In fact, the extended limb and the leaning tree actually guide our eyes back towards the waterfall. Nice work as always.

Looks like b&w winter scenes is the theme recently. This is a beauty. I'm really enjoying the arrangement of elements, especially the little cascade. Also, and I think the understated secret of this image is the background; the bg beyond the long diagonal trunk is intriguing to me. Speaking of the diagonal, I'm a little torn on it's presence. Hard to figure out if it's a branch falling down from the bigger tree, or a separate tree leaning way over.
The only suggestion I have is a slight crop from the bottom. There's a lot of snow in the LRC and not much being added in the LLC. But of course, just a thought and suggestion, I'm happy with it, if you're happy with it!
Excellent job on the processing btw.
