Not your typical flora subject....but, the collective duckweed here forms a pretty swirling pattern in the current.

Lucy: Certainly an unconventional subject but IMO a successful one. The sticks are just the right reference to the scene to make it not completely abstract but I can see possibilities for some completely abstract comps as well. Nicely done.>=))>

Well seen, Lucy! The golden green is wonderful and the branches and pattern changes keep my eyes in the frame.

An impressive tribute to the color green! It reminds me of a miniature version of the Palouse area in Washington state. Well done.

What a cool idea! I like all the lines & swirls! I wonder what it would look like if it was cropped from the top so that the center stick exits the frame in the same way that the stick on the left does? In any event I think this is really neat!

Now this touches a chord. Many times I stood looking at the layer of duckweed in Brazos Bend State Park and thought there must be a composition in there, somewhere. I never could get it right but you sure did! I really like this. I wonder just how many scenes like this I missed!! Great job, Lucy!!

Well seen Lucy and while it may not be my cup of tea, I do appreciate the patterns and textures.

Lucy - Lovely (almost) Monochrome. Great abstract compositions are possible as mentioned and this one with the branches also looks lovely for me.
