Not too sure about the background on this one. Background on flight shots usually include sky or at least a horizon. This background is a plowed field.

I like the background. It is a nice change of pace from flight shots with bland blue backgrounds. Also complements the color of the bird which I personally like. Very well done and nice find!

Scott, a very nice shot of this bird and I love the BG. I now way do I think BGs need to have some sky or horizon. I like this type a lot and shoot to achieve this look all the time. Well done.

I don't know why you were unsure of the BG. It complements the bird well and has nice variations that keep it interesting without being overpowering. Nice job
