Taken last Monday morning from the top of the buttes at Buffalo Creek Wildlife Management area. Just enough room between the clouds and the horizon to give some nice light. Cropped to 75% of original. Levels, curves and selective dodging to bring out some detail in the lower part of the image, all in PSE9. Thanks for any and all comments and critiques.

Canon 40D
Sigma 17-70
All settings on manual
Shutter 1/20
Aperture f18
ISO 100
17mm
Tripod and remote shutter release

Looks like one of those great start to the day kind of mornings. Sometimes the "big skies" of the west needs to be the subject, just like this. Well done.

Great sky. Love the sunstar and the silhouetted trees above the strip of land. Nice job

Terrific sky Richard. Great choice of the crop and narrow format. Just from a tidiness point of view, I'm wishing the tree tops weren't there on teh left. Otherwise, a beautiful sunrise.
