Wide Open
by Richard Teller
I was out well before sunrise this morning and hiked about 1 hr. and 20 mins. to get to a place on top of the buttes at Buffalo Creek. When I got to the parking lot the sky was full of stars. By the time it got to sunrise the clouds had starting moving in faster then I wanted. There was a small brake in the clouds over the horizon in the southeast. This is shooting south from the top of the buttes. This is a six image pano and then cropped to about 75% of the original six images. The country side here is so wide open that it takes a pano to take it all in. While is was waiting for the light to do something a young Bighorn Ram with about a 3/4 curl came within about 10 yards of me and just stopped and stared for a while. Just a little extra blessing.

Love the expansive view here - which comes across very well even considering how hard it is for panos to do in these small versions. Great job in your comp and giving the slight edge to the sky, which I think really adds to the expansive look to this. Excellent all the way around.
