Snow leopard pair (C)

Was not sure if I should post here or in the Wildlife Forum. Trying to get a good image of this pair of young snow leopards. Unfortunately they stayed too close to the fence to be able to keep it out of the image. They were within 6 inches of the wire. In PSE9, I removed most of the red, this wire is a reddish brown which comes out sort of pink when it is OOF. Then played around with contrast and color saturation to reduce the wire to what it is in this image. Any other suggestion on how to reduce or eliminate these light gray lines will be apprecitated. OF course the best way is to be able to photograph these cats when they are back from the wire, which depends on factors I cannot control. I will be making more trips to the zoo, and if sucessful will post. I have added the original image in the comment section. In the print I made the wires are even less noticable.

I decided to post the original image before any work on it. I was not able to be closer to the leopards in this situation, which I hope I will be able to do on my next trip.

John, I think you did as much as reasonably possible to maximize the shot, without serious pixel by pixel photoshop work. These are great subjects. Best bet is to return and catch them further from the fence so an open aperture would completely dissolve it!
