October Snow

This is a shot I already made in october when we got the first big snow fall in the alps this year. Actually I had the intention to take some fall foliage images but with that snow it was more like winter than autumn. Anyway, I arrived at this place just in time to witness this beautiful sunrise. I was a little bit late this morning so this is not the composition I would have chosen if I had some more time.

Bill, A beautiful winter scene! I love that pink glow in the sky which really adds to the wintry mood.

I like the composition just fine. Excellent processing for the sky & ground, and a wonderful contrast between the blues & "whatever-crazy-color the sky is!!!"

The gentle warm glow in the sky is a terrific complement to the cold snowy landscape.
