The Old Homestead

I went back to a place I photographed last February. The sun was a bit farther to the south and lit up the butte behind the old house more. I tried this pano and really liked it. I wish the sky color was more even, but that is what the light was doing to it. This is 5 images stitched together in PSE9. There is some very slight adjustments in curves and some adjustment in levels. Thanks for your comments and critiques, they are much appreciated.

Shutter 1/4 and 1/5. Trying to keep the exposure even across the image

A wonderful scene Richard. I really enjoy this view and the old homestead adds something special to the scene and beautiful but lonely feel. Like you I do wish the sky was a little more even but this is still very nice.

I love the composition! In ACR you might be able to reduce the overall saturation of the sky with the selective color tool and thereby minimize the differential effect.

Nicely composed. The house really makes this one work. It gives a human presence to the landscape and makes you wonder what it would be like to live their.

This is a fantastic panoramic Richard. Love everything about this. I hope you're printing and hanging this one. Excellent!

The old house lends a sense of scale to the outcropping and the warm light makes this very appealing. Nice!
