This should finish off the images from this trip. I really appreciate all the comments. This is a beautiful and challenging place to photograph. I chose this one because of the light, lines, and shapes, but I hope it's not too chaotic. I liked how the last light caught the tops of the ridges in the center left leading to the hoodoo on the right. The sky didn't cooperate at this moment though.

Thanks for looking at this series.

Strong comp for my tastes Russel and I like the light a lot. I also like the balance between the cool and warm elements in the scene. Beautiful image.

Beautiful! Some really nice light and color in this wonderful looking scene Russ. I like your composition a lot and that background light and sky really help set this off. This is such an interesting place. Very nice... :toast:

Love the soft pastel colors in this one. Nice light also. You could probably emphasize the light on the far hills a bit more by cropping out nearly all of the sky. Pretty as is, though.

Great feeling of isolation in this image, Russ. The sky is just fine, too.

Russell,

Beautiful! Very much like your previous image in terms of cool>warm combination and transitions. This is a beautifully composed landscape as well giving the viewer context to location, yet also an intimate view for detail and texture. Beautifully seen and crafted.

Small suggestion. Take a sat layer and reduce the magenta in the clouds - making sure you mask out the landscape so you don't alter any color/sat there.

That colorful and eroded landscape looks like a great place to explore. Nice colors and the comp works well, too.

Thanks Lon. Here's a RP with sat reduced in the sky. This is processed in Lightroom - haven't upgraded to CS 6 yet. So I used a ND filter to remove that really ugly cast in the sky. That tool has some serious limitation and still didn't get it to where I would prefer it. Thanks again, it's been a hoot to post this series.
