GBH Late Lunch

Taken December 5, 2012 at El Dorado Park, Long Beach, CA. The trout were planted and the Ospreys, Cormorants, Herons, Egrets and a variety of other birds were prevalent catching fish. This GBH landed about 30 feet from where we were photographing. He stood on the bank and a short while later we heard a splash. He jumped up on the bank with this trout. It took him less than a minute to position it, and when he did, down it went in a single gulp.

Love it!
Great view of the head of both heron and fish.

Nit picking time! I would clone out the little white thingy in the URC. You might think of warming it up a trifle. And that's all I can say about that, because this is just an excellent photo and I wish it were mine! :toast:

Excellent image, although I do wish there was some water in the image for context.

You did a GREAT CATCH of the Great Blue Heron's GREAT CATCH. Very fine details, I can even see the fish's smiley ( or crying ) face ? Love it !
