Taking a break from the cranes and snow geese I drove the South Loop of the Bosque del Apache NWR and found this White-crowned offering fairly decent views from the road.

The large version is just incredible, Pose is excellent with no annoying branches. Sparrows always seem to be in the thickets, shy I guess. Very impressive. :toast:

In addition to all the things that have been already said I would add that you have a wonderful palette of compatible colors in this image. Great detail, a nice pose, etc. add up to an excellent photo.
