Beaver Lodge with a View

McGee Creek is another area in the Eastern Sierra I like to hike each fall and this beaver pond is about three miles up the trail. By start in the dark, and with many stops along the way, I can make it here before the sun rises over the high canyon walls. Once it does, it's usually time to put the camera away and enjoy the view, because the light becomes way too harsh on a clear morning. Also, this is a blend of two exposures to control the light in the reflection.
Thanks and comments welcome

Strong composition for my tastes. I particularly like the fg rock, the colors and the reflection. The image has a very appealing mood for me. My only nit, for my tastes, is the bush on the left and I'd prefer to see the lake there but very minor. Beautiful scene and image.

Very nice! I love the colors. Good job on the light management and I have no nits at all on the composition.

Lovely shot, Rudy. The reflection is wonderful and the glow in the aspens on the far side adds nicely to the depth. I also like where you placed the small stream.

Very nice Rudy, this is a classic. The reflection is nicely exposed and detail is perfect. This is a stellar comp! You have really captured this wonderful slice of Sierra.

I like the composition; how the subject is implied by its reflection but not in the image.

Very nice. Do you have one with the mountain peak behind the lake? The reflection is lovely and the color in the fg grass most appealing.

Rudy,

You've been getting to some beautiful locations, and your efforts are certainly paying off. This is a wonderful mountain scenic and reflection. Great color and comp. I'm kinda wishing the willow/bush wasn't there on the left, but not a big deal at all. Beautifully captured.
