Yard Work!

So I was blowing leaves in my yard a couple weekends ago, and got side tracked with some fun stuff. A mix of some sort of Maple?, Walnut, Camfor, Pecan, Birch, Jasmine. Now you might think this was not arranged due to the droplets of water on the leaves. But, I actually carried some of the leaves with the droplets from my front yard, to the back, (very gently) where I was engineering this collection of leaves. The deep cranberry colored leaves on top are from the Camfor Tree. It is supposed to be an evergreen, but makes a terrible mess of my driveway every week, all year long. Anyway, hope you enjoy it! See the big one!

Chris

You will do anything to get out of doing yard work! Slacker. Great collection of color in almost an abstract pattern.

Well, it's obviously arranged, cause the odds of finding that perfect balance of color randomly would be like hitting Power ball. But I like the arrangement--a nice mix! I really like that bit of green sticking in from the side--wish there was even more green actually. Fun stuff...

You have a beautiful looking yard, Chris!

Seriously though, this does not look "arranged" at all, very nicely done and the drops of water add to the scene.

I like this Chris, the colors are very natural, along with some very nice detail and composition. Yup ,Done that before, an got a 16x 24 out of it, sometimes they turn out very nice, like yours.

Beautiful Chris. Lovely combination of colors and shapes. I bet your neighbors thought you were a bit strange though carefully moving a few loads of leaves to the backyard!

I really like the quality of this image Chris. The DOF provides perfect detail, the color is varied and well saturated, and the soft light is perfect for the subject. The water droplets add another very interesting element. Hope it was some consolation for the chore of cleaning leaves off the driveway.

Chris,

Excellent leave image! Arranged or not, this is lovely. I would even say you did such a great job of arrangement, it doesn't look that way! Other than the appearance of a green leaf in the LL, I've got no nits or complaints! Great autumn image.

Hope you finished the yard work!

It makes me happy!... This is very nice Chris. Love the wonderful fall color and water drops always add such a nice touch on leaves. And to think I chopped all mine up with my new Dixie Chopper mower... when I could have been taking pictures!

Very pretty. The reds look a bit arranged but still a very pleasant comp and you nailed the light.

Beautiful scene but I'm still laughing at the thought of watching you carry wet leaves to the backyard. :toast:
