Hi everyone! I haven't been very active on NPN lately due to a lot going on in my personal life, but I thought I'd share this image I got last week. This hawk landed just beyond by back wall and was incredibly cooperative. I made a slow approach and was able to spend quite a bit of time with it. I wish the lighting was a bit more interesting, but we have to seize the opportunities when they present themselves. Comments & critiques welcome.

Well seized opportunity, Tonia. Lots of detail and a fine exposure against that blue sky.

Excellent. I love the graphic lines of the bare branches.

Good shot. It is fun when an interesting subject lands in our back yard. Last summer we got a Red Tail in our bird bath ten feet from our kitchen window. The camera was upstairs with the lens off. Consequently, no shot for me. Like yours.

Wonderful full frame shot with some nice feather detail in the larger image plus the head turn really adds for some nice eye contact. Looks like you may have an interesting back yard. Good job on the approach, way to go. Nice to see you and talk photography the other day.
