Streamside II

This would be the next in a series I have from this Fall where I was drawn to the sides of the streams because of the music of the water and the great color along their banks.

Large version included.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Morris,

Love these streamside scenics. The foreground boulders are just right in terms of size - not too big, allowing the eye to wander around them to explore the rushing water and lovely color on the far shore. this is composed very nicely.

The only suggestion I have would be to dial down the yellow/green sat selectively in the bright green tree/bush on the left shore. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the variety of color, including the rock under the water. Nice work!

A very pretty scene Morris. I really like all the color in the rocks under the water and it makes me wonder what a shorter shutter speed would have looked like. I do like it as is too... I too could see backing a little color off in the background but then it does have some wonderful looking light there.

Those foreground rocks really pop right off the scene Morris. Love the vibrant colors and shutter speed you used. Wonderful water motion.

Terrific shot, Morris. You've captured so much color and motion. I love how the rocks stand out and lead my eyes to the colored shrub. The sharpness there contrasts so nicely with softness of the flowing stream.

Love the colors and composition, the colors in the water are sweet. The rocks, in my opinion, are perfect size.

Very beautiful color Morris. This one almost has the look of a focus stack which I'm all in favor of. I want to reach out and touch that foreground rock which hopefully takes me back to our awesome fall this season in Colorado. BTW that black border really helps this image.

Scenes like this are tough because the eye wants to travel out of the frame with the direction of the water, but here you've managed to keep the eye moving right up through the image with the placement of those rocks. Nicely done, Morris.

Really nice composition, Morris. I like how the greens and reds in the foreground moss and rocks compliment the background foliage.

What a nice array of colored rocks showing through the water. That's my favorite part of this beautifully crafted image. The foreground rocks have nice color and detail, with the wet luster too! Nice!

Morris,
Lovely capture with such a tranquil mood. Exposure time around 1/2 sec?
The background might work better as others have suggested, but all in all, outstanding :toast:

Works for me, Morris! The rocks here are the subject rather than detracting from it (as in my 11 peeves...) and the subject is interesting and well presented.
