Hello All. :wavey:

White-tailed Jack Rabbit.

It's been a while since I last posted, but I thought this was cute. I captured this on my way to work earlier this year in June.
(Ahhh yes; when it was warm.)

Hope this brings a smile to you, as it did me.

Cheers.

Haha very nice shot! Definitely made me smile too! I think a tad bit more DOF wouldn't have hurt, but not bad as is. Also, the square crop works for me, but would be interested to see original. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Derrick, good to see you posting again. I would certainly have been smiling if I would have been lying on my belly looking at this funny character through my viewfinder  . That super low angle really rocks and makes the image intimate. The heavy side lighting creates strong shadows, but you have good detail there. Although normally the addition of flowers in the frame/BG can be a strong ingredient that can make the image more appealing, but here I find the white very OOF flowers a bit distracting. Perhaps a bit more DOF, as Cam suggested, would have sorted that out.

Neat photo, I like the position you caught this critter in. Have not seen one of these guys in years. I like that you have some detail in the light and the dark, but I do think the light side could be just a bit darker. Thanks for sharing.

I like it Derrick! I have seen rabbits running around in Edmonton, usually on the west side. Ironically, I rarely see rabbits/hares out in the wilds in nw Alberta. Canmore has a real problem with these guys I understand. Great low perspective here and nice translucent effect on the eye. Amazing ears.

I LOVE RABBITS! It's hard to take images of rabbits because they just don't sit still, but I see that he did for you and it turned out great!
