This young male is not yet in his bright definitive basic plumage, but I still find them a great photo subject.

This bird had taken off a bit ago and made a turn toward me. I was hidden in the weeds in full camo. Love it when they decide to turn the right direction.

Wonderful flight shot Ron. I like seeing the green on the wing but the eye contact really adds to the image. Excellent feather detail and colorful background in the larger image. Interesting to read about how you got the shot. Well done Ron.
