Empty Milkweed pod

This pod just about has all of its seeds dispersed. I like the smooth texture of the inside of the pod and the dangling seeds that haven't yet let go. I have also posted a photo in the Macro Gallery of a Milkweed seed that was released but got caught up on another weed.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/4 for 1/1000 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

I've gone back and forth on the two posts trying to decide which I liked more (not that you asked), but I truthfully can't decide. I like them both. Nice detail and color in this one. You managed the strong light very well. I like seeing all the mini color prisms in this one.

Beautiful color and detail! I like the multicolor lines expanding outwards. It almost looks like fireworks.
