I like this as an abstract, although I am trying to imagine it flipped horizontal and/or desaturated.

Just imagining, I think those ideas might be worth considering. The flip would have the eye going from left to right instead of right to left. The B&W would concentrate the mind upon the purely formal aspects of the image. For me it is less helpful to know it is an animal horn initially. But that's probably just me.

As for your Gerard Manley Hopkins quote sig. I'm sure he was a manly man, but I wouldn't be surprised to discover he had been arrested for allitering... :cool:

===========================================
postscript: I had a look at this image with a horizontal flip and I like it better that way; just me.

I also looked at that view desaturated. It's a different image that way, but I like it both ways. With the color there is a sort of "fire" you don't get with the desaturated version. But it's a matter of whether or not you want that, I guess.

So, in summary, I prefer the horizontal flipped version one way or another :toast:
