For me photos are mostely just a way to remember events. This week I had to travel to the Chaska area of Minnesota on business, and I got there an hour too early. So I went to the U of M Landscape Aboretum for half an hour, got in free on a Thursday, and was intrigued by this subject, of which this is a radical crop.

Pentax K-5, 300 mm Pentax prime, tripod, f/8 and 1/60, as I recall. Just after sunrise.

I would appreciate any and all critique comments; viz., (1) the concept, (2) its success or lack thereof, and (3) why you think so.

In concluding (which I have a hard time doing when it comes to writing :) I just want to tell everyone reading this how much I love this forum and the thoughtfulness and engineering that has gone into its creation. We're all fortunate to have it.

I like the concept here, and the seed ready to take off.
The whole image is quite soft, which I would not expect with a tripod at 1/60 - maybe there was a breeze?
This image should probably be in Flora, rather than EPJ. I don't see any environmental issues that are raised here.

The lack of sharpness distracts me, but I like the idea. It should be put in flora where you will get more feedback.
