Crescent moon before sunrise at Louisbourg Lighthouse Point, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

Here is another crescent moon image captured the day after my previous image at a different location. I am not sure if this is too minimalistic so I am interested in your thoughts.

Thanks for having a look.

Pentax 67II
Pentax 67 55-100mm
Velvia 50
1.5 Stop HE Gradient

Wonderful color gradient and fine simplicity. Wild patterns in the clouds, too.

Youssef will like this one. It has his moon in it.

Eva,

Harley stole my thunder - Youssef will enjoy this one.

I don't think images can be too minimalistic, unless of course you post a white box.... ;-) But really, simply is almost always good and this fits the bill beautifully. Wonderful color gradient as Harley also points out. Simply beautiful.

The prismatic color and detail are superb Eva. A wonderfully minimalistic beauty. Very nice.

A wonderful capture Eva. I really enjoy the peaceful and calming feel I get from looking at this. The clouds remind me so much of what I often see on Lake Superior. Very Nice!

Too Nice! Harley was right. I do love it. I was out for the new moon this evening and got snubbed by clouds. :frown:

Thanks everyone for your comments and for having a look.

Hey Youssef, every time I see a crescent moon I think of you and your crescent moon posts. By happenstance, I witnessed this and my last post and was lucky enough to capture them on film (Velvia 50). Glad you like them.

Love the simplicity, Eva, and that incredible gradient of wonderful color. I'd be tempted to crop half of the water to enhance the minimalist feel to your image, although it is quite nice as is. Love the moon. Large version is a must see of course.

Lovely light Eva. I am drawn to the detail in the water and clouds and soothed by the gradient.. This is an image I would love to have up on my wall!

If there was a hint of green in the twilight zone, it would be very much in the style and color palette of one of my favorite artists - Maxfield Parrish. Great job on this Eva. Colors are fantastic and I love the cloud bank.
