Aare Gorge

A shot from last summer. A long time on my "to-do-list" was the Aare gorge. Last summer I finally visited this gorge. The Aare gorge is about 1.4 kilometer long and situated between the village of Meiringen and Innertkirchen in the "Hasli" valley in the Bernese Oberland of switzerland.

Love that little waterfall…

It's a pretty tricky place to shoot in, as I recall, with hardly anywhere to put up a tripod.

Beautiful job on the water, both in the little fall and in the river itself. I love the rugged feel of the rock in this image

Beautiful little waterfall is a great canyon. I would not mind a bit more room at the bottom to give the waterfall landing some breathing space, but not much of a deal. Sweet spot.

I really like the glacial silt colored water, and that's a great little gusher of water. Nice comp, too.

Bill,

Certainly a unique location and setup for this composition. I think I might be inclined to tone down the highlights generally, but otherwise, no nits or suggestions. Looks like a fun location with lots of options.

I really like the double arcs of the falls and the stream. The color of the stream works is a great addition. I too would like to see a bit more space at the bottom, but that's a minor nit on a lovely image.
