These birds often choose exposed perches to sit in the sun and to fly out at passing insects

Wonderful species, first-timer for me: never seen nor heard of it - like the delicate tones in the plumage. Very good image ! Cheers, Hans

The simple clean composition focused directly on the eye really make for a strong portrait.
Love how the head turn shows off the colorful blue beak.
Well done.

Beutiful subdued colors here. I love the eye contact and blue bill, I think a little more room all the way around would make a stronger image IMO. Well done!!

Tremendous feather and beak detail. He seems to be proud and putting out a vibe that says look at me. I like the pose and look in his eye. Well done!

Excellent perch, pose, detail and background. Interesting to see the light blue to dark blue transition on the beak. Wonderful shot Rob.
