Wonderful combination of backlighting and fog. Especially like the fog in the distant trees.

Love the combo of fog and color. I might consider a crop of the left side to eliminate the big dark tree. It would focus all the attention on the fog and color center and right. Real nice image either way.

WOW! the fog really saturates the warm colors and creates a wonderful tension. I'm loving this one

Love the mood and the dramatic light. I agree on cropping a bit from the left

Grrreat shot. I especially like the middle and background areas. Foreground not as captivating for me. Do you have any shots zoomed in on the misty sunlit trees?

hI Richie, Thanks for your comment. I don't have any closer shots of the middle trees without cropping this image. I was actually shooting a landscape at 180 degrees to this view so I only took a couple of quick shots. A missed opportunity perhaps. Graham

Graham,

A lot going on, yet it all comes together due to the fog/smoke/mist, whatever it is. I like the natural framing at the bottom and the mix of color works well here. I'm wondering if the light and tonal range would make this well suited for b&w. Just a thought.

Good drama and a great moment you've captured.
