There has not been much color here for a bit, so I went through some old files yesterday and kinda like the BG on this and would like some opinions.
D8o, ISO 100, F5 @ 1/60, diffuser, CP, tripod
Thanks for looking.

Love the leaves with their deep green - they set off the flower to perfection for me, Bob, in a lovely composition. I also love the shade of blue of the flower. Not quite so sure about the two tone bg and the extra leafage at the top. They are not deal breakers, but I'd possibly like a slightly simpler bg.

Bob: Interesting BG - is it a walkway? I love the capture of the flower itself. I find magnolias difficult to compose so I think you've done well here. >=))>

Bob, I like the magnolia flower itself a lot. The bg is interesting and colorful. I like the earth tones of the left 2/3 of the bg. The oof bright green grass on the right competes with the flower a little, and I'd try toning down that area. Very nice overall.

I like the background in this as it shows off the blossom so well. Excellent dof choice.
