Wild Acadia

Haven't posted in a while but stop to check out all the great work being posted. Some of you may have seen this elsewhere so I apologize for the repeat.

This is from a quick trip over to Acadia National Park a few weeks back. The weather and light were pretty crappy the first two days but I was treated to a spectacular light show on the last morning. I shot a few comps from the "wet" zone but backed off to include more of the rocky shoreline in this one.

As always thanks for taking a peek.

Isn't that always the case with crappy weather and then some excellent light? Sky is stunning and the light on foreground rocks beautiful. I would be happy with these conditions. Maine can be as unforgiving as Nova Scotia or Scotland. Love the multiple diagonals with the almost tetrahedral structure Kurt.

Awesome sky here Kurt. The reflected light off the foreground rocks is very nice as well.

Nice "X" in the composition. The light and processing does the rest. Great shot. Kurt.

This is beautiful Kurt. Wonderful color and all, but what really attracts me is the amazing FG - what a visual feast that is. I wish you had a larger version so I could explore thatFG even in greater detail.

Absolutely beautiful. Intense sky and reflected colors on the rocks make this really dramatic and engaging
