Sweet light and I really like the elements that you have in the image. I personally might crop up from the bottom about 2/3s of the way to the tree. Fine image.

Very nice Nancy, Really enjoying the light and fog in this scene and the nice warm and cool feel it gives out. I do feel a little crop of the foreground would work pretty good here, but I do like the highlights on the grass in the lower right corner.

Light is sure interesting. Sky above the bush looks a bit odd.

I like the comp and the scene, and I agree with a crop of the foreground and some rework of the sky. There is also a halo around the tree, so a little more attention to that. This will be worth every effort to improve it a little.

Nothing beats a misty, sunlit morning no matter where you are. Lovely light, Sandy.

Nancy Lea,
I like the idea here - and I do get the impression of a cold, chilly morning being warmed up by the rising son. I do think the tree is a bit overbearing and as some have pointed out there is some unevenness in the lighting, almost as if a grad was used on the diagonal or something. I think there was enough interest and drama just with the sun and the layer of fog to have avoided the tree entirely. But then, I wasn't there and so it's hard to say what would have been a good option or not.

The light falling across the stubbly grass is really nice. I think the dark areas on the left side of the frame do look a bit off compared to the rest of the frame. A more even treatment of the light and this image would be greatly improved
