I posted this one for Sandy, who mentioned deer crossing signs in the general discussion. Camera was a Chamonix 045n, film was HP5, and the lens was a Derogy Petzval made in the 1850s. I got some funny looks from passing drivers when I was setting up a couple of flash and taking the shot.

Maybe it will make us more aware that the signs are there for a reason, and slow down.
My wife and I passed a dead elk on Raton Pass not 50 feet from and elk crossing sign last weekend, and of course we inappropriately laughed.
Basic forensic observation indicates the deer carcass is in rigor mortis or frozen, was moved to and positioned against the post at that site from somewhre else, and had snow piled against it - (note the shoveled/ swept snow in front of and on the far side of the sign post.)

*yeah...a convenient neologism.
It really 'hits' home on this problem, well done!
