Aspy Bay Sunrise

Aspy Bay at Dingwall, near the northern end of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

My family and I stayed at this beach the very first time we visited Cape Breton in 2006. Glad I was able to get to this beautiful beach again with just my husband. The triangular peak is Sugar Loaf and Cabot Provincial Park is at the end of land on the right. The man made breakwaters protect the harbor (or harbour as they spell it in Canada) to the left from the savage Atlantic Ocean.

Thanks for having a look.

Great light and sky. The FG reds seem just a bit oversaturated - but I wasn't there (sadly!) so it may be quite accurate.
Glad you had another nice trip to Nova Scotia.

Great capture. You have several dust bunnies hopping around and something else that appears in top right.
I miss my old lover Velvia from the 120 days. :toast:
Like Sandy, wish I was there too. :wavey:

That warm light goes so well with the blues throughout in this one. And, the light hitting the breakwater adds to the depth. :toast:

The beautiful warm light on the shore is so striking against the purple clouds and sea. I also like how the haze/mist in the middle distance is catching some sun.

Eva, A very beautiful scene! The light here is just wonderful, and the color is as well. Very, very nice!

Wonderful colors and light in this image. Is that mist on the water or a ray of light? In any case, this is a beautiful one.
