I had seen and photographed almost all individual Tigers in the tourism zone of Bandhvgarh Tiger Reserve since 2005, but was waiting to get to shoot the new cubs of this young Tigress called as Banbehi. Took me two seasons to get lucky with them.

Where: Bandhavgarh TR, Madhya Pradesh
When: March 2012
Equip: Canon 50D | 100-400
Fstop: f/5.6
Shutter: 1/3200 sec.
Exposure: -0.3 stop.

Way to cool, a very interesting scene with both tigers and the reflection. I especially like the way each tiger is looking up as they drink, as if they are always keeping watch. Excellent shot.

Congratulations on your encounter, your patience and persistence payed off beautifully. Wonderful detail seen in the larger version, great reflections. I really like this composition, but I find myself wishing to see more of the cub on the left side.

Great Catch Sachin

I like how both their tongues are out and the open eyes. In order to get the reflections, however, you may have sacrificed the back of the tiger on the left.

Wow, love the setting, quality of light and of course the stunning subjects. Great low key feel and saturated warm colors. :toast: :toast:

Wow. Great shot and doubly so with the reflections. Feels like the cats have their eyes on the camera. Nice job.

Great shot Sachin - love the catch light in the reflection, and the tigers are nice and sharp. Well worth the 2 season wait!

Very nice Sachin. I like how they seem to have emerged from the dark depths of the forest into the light. Furthermore, having both their tongues and eyes clear here makes it even stronger. The colors of the leaves are complimenting the tigers well too and helps to enhance the appeal of the image. I sort of miss seeing the entire back of the tiger on the left a bit, but also understand that your composition choice was probably based on compromise. Thanks for sharing these cubs. :toast:

Great shot- love the reflections! I wish you could have fit more of the left tiger in the frame, as he seems awkwardly truncated here, but understand the desire to get the closer reflection shot here. I also love the dappled forest light and great light on the tigers themselves!

I love the tongues and eyes in this shot. The reflection does add to the scene, so if it was that or the back of the tiger, I think I would have made the same choice.
