A couple of weeks ago I hiked to this small lake just above Grindelwald near Grosse Scheidegg in the Bernese Alps of switzerland. I've already been there several times before but this was the first time i had such a dramaitc sky.
This is a 4 shot image, manually blended in photoshop for dynamic range

Nikon D700, 16-35 lens (@23mm), ISO 200, f 13, 1/25; 1/80; 1/250; 1/500 Sekunde, ND Grad Filter 0.6 soft

This is a wonderful composition. The clouds and their reflection form an 'hourglass' that is both striking and unusual. That is a great sky and the darker land adds to the drama. Great job

I like the comp. Feels like a big drop-off just beyond the water. Also like the the drama of the clouds and godbeams.

Pretty amazing lighting conditions, and you've arranged the composition with such balalnce. Excellent job with the blend, though I migh try darkening the left cloud/tree boarder about 1/3 from the left. I feel like I am on the edge of the world. Normally this much green foliage gets a bit boring, but I'm digging this! :toast:

Incredible drama in the sky, and to have a reflection of the sunbeams in such a remarkable setting. Amazing.

The large version really comes through with a sweet clarity of light and nice detail in the grasses.
