Inverness Beach at sunset, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I posted my digital version earlier but I am more than thrilled with this version especially the rich color. I am more than convinced of my preference. Thanks for having a second look.

I like the warm color palate and speckles of light reflecting off the pebbles. I just don't know if there is enough interest in the non-descript elements to hold attention for long.

Wow! This is wonderful, Eva! I like it much better than the previous post. A very beautiful scene and the only thing that could be better would be if I was standing there. Great comp, subject, light and color...doesn't get much better.

Really beautiful Light here. I especially love the golden kisses in the sand. A very tranquil scene. It may look like there are some VERY faint sun flare spots in the pool, but they are very faint and most may not see them unless they look hard. Just had to enjoy the little details everywhere.

Hi Bill - Scenes like this interest me a lot as opposed to desert and mountain scenes. I find solace in places like this maybe because I am a coastal person at heart. Thanks for your input. I know my images will not please everyone.

This is even better, Eva. I especially like the glistening light on the grains of sand in the foreground.

The color, design, and textures that you have coalesced into this composition is simply wonderful. Incredible work in controlling the highlights and shadows in such a high contrast situation and using Velvia film. Beautiful work, Eva. Definitely prefer this over the digital version.

Agree that the tones and color in the film version are much better than the digital. I also prefer this comp. Well done, Eva. A very peaceful and calm image.

Light, color and such a nice arrangement of cloud shapes and reflections from the sand. I see it as an abstract, interesting to simply stare at it. Very well noticed.

Great colors indeed Eva! And what a composition. I like the simplicity and open-ness of this scene. Very inviting. It is like a window.

Golden beach pebbles and a reflected sun-star? What's not to be thrilled about. This is exceptional

A stunning and convincing image for me, Eva. The foreground reflection of the sunlight just makes the difference for me.

 I'll go on record and say I'm bias towards film, and in this case this version of the image. I've not had much luck with similar shots directly toward the sun without getting lens flare, so this looks very nice to me, Eva. Not sure you'd had any glare to clone or CA out, but this is one fine image. :toast:

I really like this one, Eva. The light is perfect and the reflection off the foreground sand puts it over the top. Very nicely done.

I lover the clouds in reflection. Well seen and captured :wavey:
I would suggest a little less centered sun (move to right) to achieve the rule of thirds concept. :toast:
A keeper all the way. :jump: I had a long love affair with Velvia.

This is really nice, Eva. The touch of reflected cloud and golden rim light on the pool raise this one a few notches.

WOW. This is fantastic Eva! The colors are so rich and saturated but not overly so. The reflected colors off the sand and the great detail of the sand is just perfect. BEAUTIFUL.

I can understand why you were excited with the rich colors - they are very pretty indeed. Love that warm glow off the sand in the foreground.
