I like the tight comp and the subtle color, and the blue cast of water. gorgeous as usual.

Beautiful, eerie mood. These trees looks so mysterious, as if they are hiding something. Well done here.

:toast: Gotta love these old cypress tree images, especially your collection from this area David. The various watermarks share a bit of history here too. Very nice indeed.

Lovely work, David. The flood lines give a great sense of the water dynamics. Never worked that far over in LA; did a lot of timber inventory over around Sterlington, North of Monroe, on Black Bayou. Nothing like a cypress/tupelo swamp in the Fall for beauty!

Great light and composition. The reflections really add to the image. The water lines on the trees also add a interesting allusion to the image.

Great image David. The shapes, colors and patterns all work together wonderfully. I feel like panned up slightly (a little less water, a little more foliage) might be an improvement.

I'll echo Morris' comments, I always look forward to your swampscapes, and this does not disappoint. Such a refreshingly unique subject (for me anyway) that you always present in such a reverent way.

One of your best cypress shots. Killer reflection and the grey moss really makes the foliage colors pop. Absolutely love this one.

Simply a stunner.
I wonder how long you have to be still in the water for this shot to finally "smooth out".... 5 minutes, maybe 10 ?

The other day I was photographing the perfect tree reflection in a little pond; it had such beautiful dramatic light behind the tree in the sky, creating a perfect dark back drop and reflecting in a magical way. I had spent ten minutes setting up my composition. I kid you not, when I finally pressed the shutter, milliseconds before, a huge rock completely pummeled the glassy surface near dead center... as my temper began to percolate in an almost instance, those familiar sounds of laughter subsided my fury... once again my son had contributed his creative vision into my photo. He's a wonderful kid, and I swear it's natures way of keeping things light and fun.
