Some fall leaves were back-lit by the setting sun on this mostly bare tree.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/5 for 1/40 sec. ISO 400. Natural lighting.

Good natural lighting. I am ambivalent about the right side. On the one hand it adds support to the denuded branches you cite; on the other hand a 4:5 crop cutting them out would greatly simplify the image. Worth a look.

Beautiful leaves. I went hunting for fall colors last week in Tokyo but most of the trees are still green. :frown:

The lighting brings out the beautiful color of these leaves. I agree with others about cropping some off the right.

Excellent color contrast against the perfect green BG. Diagonal composition works very well here. :toast:

Beautifully lit, Carolyn ! Love especially the composition - those twigs to the R with the light falling on them really sing in tune with the bright colour of the leaves.
