The colors here must have been quite a sight. It looks like the sky is a bit hot with the reds, so might try to turn down the luminosity on the sky. I also think a lower angle may have been a better choice and get that curve of the foreground rocks to curve back to gunsight butte since the lake isn't prominent and avoid adding the lake altogether. Just personal preference.

Bob, beautiful scene and comp... no suggestions from me.
Also, had a chance to visit your web site, your portrait images are excellent.
Nice work!

WOW, this has a really nice look to it, Bob. Love the color to the scene. I might tone the sky down just a bit, also looks a little CW rotated to me. Otherwise a fine capture of the Butte.

Beautiful Bob. I love the light - the sky looks a tad intense, but perfectly believable IMO. The landscape is so rugged and barren, and I was surprised to see the water in the midground. The light on the butte is gorgeous. Very nicely done.
On another note, if I may. I noticed you have almost 70 posts but only 157 comments. There's certainly no rule about commenting, but we like to suggest a good ratio is about 5 comments for every image you post. Again, no rule, no pressure, but the practical side side of it is that you'll find more people will comment on your images the more you comment on others. just saying.

What Bill said.
There is some huge drama here, especially in the bg. I kind of wish you had shot some with more of the water in the frame (maybe you did?). The reds are seriously blown, might want to dial back on that--TK's sat masks are great for that, or the equivalent...
