David, this is really sweet!
Teriffic scene, well captured and processed.
Sky, water and land are a great comp.
This will make a beautiful large print for you.
Very well done.

(The D800 has some pretty amazing dynamic range, does it not?)

You've captured me pretty well this one. It's kind of minimalistic to me. It's not over colorful or bright. At first I thought more reflection would be nice, if you could have, but the more I look at it, the reflection is framed within the image, and that keeps attention in the image. Really nice.

David, I really like this image. Great feel, wonderful light and color. Nice work with the comp and the reflection on the wet sand really works! Nice work!! :toast:

I like the quiet subdued look of this landscape, David. The luminosity and clarity here are very nice.

I love the serene mood this image conveys, David. I really like the placement of that larger rock in the LRC along with the drama in the sky. This looks like the perfect way to start off the day.

Thanks guy's for your comments

* Tom - Yeah, the D800's DR is awesome! It's amazing how much usable shadow and highlight detail you can recover from a single raw file. Hope you are enjoying yours, Cheers.

The soft light works nicely with the simple composition and creates a very pleasing scene. The D800 is on my wish list.
