Autumn Passing

A view from near the top of Rich Mountain in Moses Cone Park, NC this week. I thought that the patch of bare trees near the carriage road foretold the coming of winter, with autumn colors in full form on the hillsides.
Canon 7D, focal length 15mm (11-16mm lens), ISO 200, f/11 1/200 sec.

Comments & critique appreciated.

I like your concept of showing bare trees in front of the hillside of trees in full autumn colors. The carriage road adds nice interest too. The foreground doesn't seem to add much so I would suggest a crop up from the bottom to above the bright rock, making this a pano image. IMO this may help accentuate the interesting parts of this image. Good entry for the theme, Paul.

Paul, I really like this rolling hill composition. A very neat look to it. As already mentioned I might crop or clone the white rock patch out in the FG area....

Thanks for the comments Carolyn & Paul.
This is a crop of a larger image, and I did experiment with a version that had less of this foreground and no rock, and more sky. I didn't feel it was as interesting and did not represent what I was seeing as well as this one. I did not think of doing it as a pano, which is a nice idea for this.
