Morning in the Marsh +
by Nick Bristol
This is a picture I made yesterday in the early morning light and fog. It is just a couple of miles from my home which was nice. I haven't had much time to shoot fall scenes since I returned from Upper MI. I have been getting ready for a three day show starting this Friday, so it was nice to get out in my own area on a wonderful fall morning. I would like to have shot this even tighter (for another version) but the 300 is the longest lens I have right now. I was really enjoying the light and conditions here! Thanks for looking.

Harley, Yes, I wanted the top of that tree too, but I did crop this down from the top to eliminate seeing any of the sky. This was as much of the right tree as I could show. I mentioned that if I had a longer lens I would like to have tried a comp of just the left tree as well. That might have been tough to seperate from the right tree but I would liked to have tried. ..
Just got back from setting up my show which opens tomorrow for the next 3 days. I have about 16 large pieces there and a couple of smaller ones. Four other photographers are in this show as well. Should be a fun time.
Gary.
Aside from that, it's a beautiful shot, Nick!
(It probably is an illusion, but it sure does look tilted.)
