The Hills are Alive
by Harry Lichtman
I came upon this alpine tarn in the Stubai Alps late one afternoon and had the company of some sheep while I sat by the water's edge. While I was hoping they would move out of view, I ultimately liked their added touch to the landscape. More of a classic Austrian landscape I thought. Even after they moved on, I could hear their bells clanging around.
This was originally in the Landscape Gallery, so sorry if you have seen it 2X! The scene under the setting sun can be found in the Landscape Gallery - no sheep in that one.

Those sheep really do add a pleasing element to the scene. Some of the best landscapes are those that include people, animals, etc, even when you start with a landscape that is gorgeous on its own.
If this gets moved to the Man & Nature Gallery, you should post the image below in Landscape and tell people to look at the one with the sheep, too! (People who never look at the Man & Nature Gallery are missing a lot, so images like this should get more people to look there.)
