OK, one more from here... showing the lovely rock formations and geology/mosses, etc., around Bucks Falls.

One self-nit, there is some obvious motion in the leaves from the long exposure, sorry. :( Larger is posted, my D90, your C&C is welcomed.

Gorgeous! I just took a look at the previous shots, and this is my favorite, Bill. ( But I am one of those odd guys who likes to see it all, instead of eliminating most of the view.) This looks like a classic shot to me, so I love the comp. It's a beautiful place, and it looks like you caught it at the best time of the year. Perfect light and processing. Water looks fine, but I think it might look just as good with a somewhat shorter exposure. The reason I say that is that you seem to dislike the motion in the leaves. That's not a problem, in my view, but a shorter exposure would be the easy fix if there was enough light. Great shot as-is!

Wonderful comp and detail Bill. The motion blur of the leaves doesn't bother me. I especially like the textures in the tree trunk and rock faces.

The blur is insignifiacnt compared to the leaves pushing in on the top of the falls, or the branch rising right up the bottom center of the falls. Im wondering if a slight shift to the lower right and you might have avoided some of that. I like everything else about this though, looks like a cool location!

I really like that tree wihch is essentially growing out of the rock... the waterfall is great too. Motion blur hurts quite a bit - what were the techs here This would be a nice local in winter when there is less stuff to move around during your long exposures.

Very nice Bill, love scenes like this, as for the motion blure, not a problem. Well done.

Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions!!! :)

Stan, it's pretty hard to move around the edge of this place, and not get something in the way.

Hey Luke, I obviously knew I was going to get some motion blur. ISO-200, 2 seconds, f-22, 18mm, cpl, remote release.

Gorgeous image Bill, wonderfully composed. I like all the elements to look at in the image, the small little waterfall, the rocks and especially the trees and how they are growing out of and around the rocks.

Beautiful and fascinating image. Of course the main falls looks great as you've positioned it in the comp; also enjoyable for me is finding the other, smaller falls and trickles in the scene. I am amazed that the trees found their way to the light and are flourishing AROUND and OUT FROM all of the rocky obstacles! Now that's tenacity! (Edit- Quite a fun coincidence that Scott used the very same descriptors about the trees!)

As to the blur of the leaves, I would expect this around a waterfall and do not consider it a nit at all. It interprets the environment so well. No apologies, or criticism, needed about that, imho.

Hey, Bill! Thanks for the comments on my post. I have to say, I've been really liking these last few shot of this waterfall. This being the best/most beautiful IMO. The color, exposure, processing and comp are all very nice. I'm not going to argue the points about intruding branches or shooting position, I think those are valid points. But for me, I have no issues with the branches in the falls, upper or lower. I think this is a very solid and complete image that caught my eye right away. If I had any suggestions I'd say maybe a crop to 4x5 from the left side. And possibly taking the top down below the top edge of the ledge. not necessary to do either one, but maybe an alternative to what you have here.

Lovely lush waterfall scene! I like the small hint of colour in the fg to draw attention to the falls, well shot! :wavey:
