Icon alert. I took a whirlwind trip last weekend around W. Va. It rained and sleeted most of the weekend, but I managed to get this image Saturday morning at this much photographed location, and my tripod was a good six inches from the designated tripod holes. I had never been here before. It is quite scenic. Nikon D700, 24-120 @ 65, f14, 1/3 sec. Larger image included. Comments, questions, suggestions welcome.

Very inviting scene with a well handled exposure. Excellent fall colors as well

Love the fall colors and the reflections in the water. A very peaceful scene that suggests an age gone by.

Classic water/mill setting. You handled everything with it very well. I really like the soft reflections in the water.

Very pretty scene with the mill and fall color. The exposure for the soft water and rainy day look right. Looks over-saturated to me with resulting loss of detail in the leaves.

What a wonderful fall scene, very beautiful spot..You should catch that whirlwind more often!
I think the comp's outstanding. I see a bit of what Brad speaks to but it's a minor issue IMO.
"Designated" tripod holes"?
Well done & have good weekend Scott :wavey:
